I purchased this to replace the radiator on my 2007 VW Jetta 2.5L. The original unit corroded in just 6 years, which is disappointing but separate issue.

The product arrived in good condition in a sturdy box. It has a less dense cooling fin setup than the original unit. I am unsure if this will impact cooling and temperature regulation in a hot climate, however given the climate in Newfoundland it will not be an issue.

The installation is not easy - and there are not many resources online to help.

I removed the bumper, disconnected and unscrewed the fans.

The fans can be removed through the bottom of the car.

There are two screws holding the radiator to the radiator support, one one each side, about 2/3 from the bottom. Remove these, and carefully push the radiator and AC condenser back to expose the four screws that attach the condenser to the radiator.

Remove these, then the tricky part is removing the screws holding the radiator to the AC condenser bracket. There are three, and they are in awkward places. Installation is reverse.

Has been working well since.
