Bought these for my 2011 VN1700 as I was not happy with the bags I bought last year as they too were throw overs but sagged over time on me and sat crooked. These bags are leather and sit uniform and also sit even on my Vulcan 1700 Classic. However they do not have any plastic on the inside, so carrying cargo that has some lbs might have it's limitations. They come with a leather lace and have 2 holes to feed the leather lace through them, dead center bottom of each bag so that you can feed lace through and secure to saddle mount bars to prevent bags from blowing up at fast highway speeds. I like the styling alot and it makes my big bore cruiser look really nice. They sit up high so that my pipes have 3" clearence or more to prevent accidental melting. Would of liked to see them have a hard bottom to accomodate some weighted cargo, other then that they really look great and compliment my VN1700.
