My Volkswagen Touareg SUV came with wood trim, and I'm in my 30s so wood trim reminds me of old Jaguars and Cadillacs. Okay sure some high-end cars have gorgeous wood these days, but my SUV screams tough and modern. So the wood, it just had to go. I also had the seats reupholstered and suede inserts put in to keep them cooler in the hot summer months. While the door panels were being upholstered seemed a good time to ditch the wood.

There were OEM factory non-wood pieces/parts but they would have cost me over +$1000 and this was a LOT cheaper option. Love how it looks and feels--- I have it around the shifter, on the dash, anywhere that was wood is covered in this stuff. Still had a bunch left (used less than 1/3rd of this big piece I got).
