HJC Skarr Men's CS-R2 Sports Bike Racing Motorcycle Helmet - MC-5 / Small Review

Went to this helmet from a HJC CL-16; it's the basis of my comparison.

The sizing is consistent with my CL-16. I wear a large and it fits the same.

The view-port seems to be larger but it's not. The fit must be better, centering the viewport better around my face. The R2 uses the same face shield as the 16. No breath deflector, but no fogging issues (yet. Have to wait until winter).

The venting is acceptable. Probably better than the 16. If I turn my head, the draft inside improves noticeably. The shield does not have a detent that holds it open just a crack but it does not feel sweltering when it's closed at a stop like the 16 did. The chin-skirt from my 16 fit perfectly on the R2. Tons of room for my Scala Q2 boom mic.

The noise level at speed seems to be better than the 16, but still loud enough that I prefer ear plugs on a long ride. The 16 would whistle and the R2 does not develop a whistle. At speed I've noticed no aerodynamic issues.

Really excited about the removable liner. My 16 got real nasty over the years. It appears simple to remove/replace.
