This Silver Bullet throttle body spacer produces up to 12 horsepower and 14 pounds x feet torque and is constructed from precision machined T-6061 billet aluminum and is designed using a serrated/helix design that creates turbulence in the air flow at the point just prior entry into the engine optimizing the combustion cycle. This turbulence helps the air/fuel charge burn completely providing increased horsepower, torque and improved throttle response. This spacer works with the OE and aFe Power cold air intake systems. I bought this on a whim, nice looking piece and I hear of respectable (potential) gains. I am running the AFE stage 2 intake system, 180 thermostat, QTP exhaust cutouts, and thought this would be a solid addition.

Installation notes and pictures don't match the 5.7 engine but the notches on the manifold line up to the spacer the bolts supplied were the right length.

Installation however didn't go too well I am not sure if it was my error, brittle manifold, wrong screw thread, or what? After seating the bolts (finger tight.) Applying the torque wrench to bolt at the specified torque it slipped and to my horror I striped the screws on a plastic intake manifold. *deep breaths* I can re-tap the holes and carry on with a larger bolt, more bad luck new bolt didn't like the fit, sheared off inside the manifold. OEM replacement $400-800. So now... Going to upgrade the whole intake with the 6.1 aluminum intake off the SRT (estimated $1600).

My 2 cents, 114 dollar part is now going to cost a minimum of 500 for OEM manifold. Probably wouldn't have grabbed this part if I would have read my own review. But at least I'm getting an upgrade out of it and a set next step in the upgrade path, centrifugal supercharger!
