Having lived in Michigan for 6 years I understand the value of good floor mats when you're dragging in snow, sticks, mud, and water every time you get into the car. I have Weathertech extreme floor mats for the front and rear seats, but previously had nothing for the cargo area.

The Maxpider mat is textured, but water resistant and can be hosed off. The underside of the mat has a velcro hook like material that sticks to the carpet underneath. The texturing prevents shifting of the mat when you throw cargo onto it. My Weathertech mats shift in the passenger seat and rear-seats where they don't have clips. The edges of the Maxpider mat have a lip to prevent liquids from running underneath the mat, and a center crease to accommodate access to the small storage space underneath the cargo area floor

While the mats advertise noise reduction, they doesn't appreciably lower cabin noise. Using a sound meter At the front of the car cruising 70mph on the freeway yielded no measurable difference in noise. It may be the case that noise directly above the mat is reduced, but there's no difference in the front seats.

Although it appears durable, because is of relatively lightweight construction, it doesn't seem to be as durable as the OEM rubber mat or the nearly indestructible weathertech mats. Time will tell if it stands up to regular abuse.

Overall I enjoy the appearance and added protection to the cargo area. I also greatly appreciate that the mat does not move around, and hope to get many years of use from it.
