I bought this same product and have had them for some time. I wanted fog lamps on our 2003 Civic but since this is basicly it, the choice was easy. I really wanted fog lamps where the lens filled the whole area and not a little oval in black plastic like these. I also wanted the factory looking switch; more about that later. This is not a job for the tender hearted or someone prone to damaging items when you work on them. You need to have them installed by a "proffesional" or be a silled mechanic.

I you install them yourelf you begin by finding the instructions online as none come with the package. I later found out why the instructions did not come with the package, the wiring was different. You actualy cut a hole out for the light in the grill. This job is a pain and be careful and do it right. The light sits in place by a plastic nub that wraps around the back of one side of the hole you just cut while the other end is clamped in by a screw. This was the biggest problem I had as my hands are too big and the tab for the back of the screw provided wasn't as forgiving as I would have liked. Once installed you can adjust the beam up and down with the adjusting screw.

When installing the wires I broke half the wire tie mounting clips trying to push them into the fender but that can be easily fixed with the purchase of more of these handy items. Once I got the wiring in according to the instructions I realized that the kit was made to go through the opposite fender than that which the instructions showed. I then realised that the kit was NOT MENT FOR EX models. The switch was made to fit in the sunroof control slot. I assumed it went to the knowckouts over the cupholder but no. The switch won't clip into place and when it's there and it is not flush whe whole 1/2" tall top sticking out when sitting all the way back into the hole. By the way, to get the switch to fit into that hole I extended the wires, so there is hope for your car if it has a sun roof. The switch style also doesn't match the cruise control's style, but who's looking?

So after having the lights for a while I like them. I don't use the switch to shut them off so I don't care that it's not securely mounted into the consol or that it partialy melted on day out of the blue. The illumination is bright white. I have yet to have driven in deathly thick fog the give them a full test but they do great job at illuminating the road like they should and for that I am pleased. Would I buy another pair again? Hmmm, yes.
